Hmm, my guess his game can't get that dog, or I think you have to both put a god in bark mode, and trade them both, you may want to try that, and if that doesn't work, then I am not sure what may be happening, that is not letting him get the German Shepard.

Some times it will do that. You can try again and if it doesn't work. Tell him he can unlock the german shepard with trainer piont once you reach a certain amout it wil unlock rooms for you to buy, dogs (like the german shepard your friend wants), and food at the dog store. I hope I helped bye.

I saw on the damatain and friends walkthrough and he can get the german shepard at 30,000 trainer points.

The problem is he needs to get at least 26,000 trainer points that means he would nees to win 260 more contests (because he only has around 4,000 trainer points)

None of these answers are true!!!!

The problem is that you can only unlock ONE breed per game. You can still unlock them getting more trainer points.

The frist time you go and do bark mode with that person it will give you the frist dog they bring and after that you don't get a dog from them ethier you start your game over and you buy german shepherd and the other persons buys the dog you want and go meet again because once you start over the game erases everything so you can do it again, or your friend meets some else with GS, or he/she waits to get it in thier game.

The reason you can't give your friend another breed on bark mode is bcuz the game only lets you give or get 1 breed of dog to unlock so you can't go back on bark mode and unlock any more breeds

You can give him another dog BUT you have to change your trainer name.(name on ds screen.)then go back to bark mode

Some people are half way there. The reason is that you can only unlock 1 breed from each trainer you meet on bark mode

Becuase onec you have allready have been given a dog to unlock then you can't unlock anoyher one it's stuipid I know

If you and your friend have already bark moded or he has already unlocked a dog from bark moding with someone with the same version as you, then you can't unlock more. I have two lab versions, and one Chihuahua if I use the Chihuahua and bark mode with one lab version (say to unlock a lab) and I do, then I do it with the other lab version to say unlock a schnauzer. It wont unlock as I have already unlocked a breed from that version. However if I was to use my dachshund version, to unlock say a dachshund, then I could. But then if I bark moded with my friend who also has that version to unlock a different dog, it wouldn't work - see? hope I helped
