Let me guess you want to find the answer before you retire lol.
I'm not the lady you mentioned but may have the answer anyway.

I think it was the pipe that was under the chest beside the heap of clothes on the floor to the right.

If this is correct then you will need to use the spell from the menu that is for lifting heavy weights.
