Place the cog on one of the spindles (it doesn't matter which one). Then use the stylus to draw a fast circle around the cog. You will see the lines in the upper screen move. Keep moving until one line turns green. Then stop. Now move the cog to the other spindle and do the same, but watch the upper screen. It's a bit 'trial and error' but when both lines turn green it will stop and show you the location you will go to. The secret is to keep the first line that goes green and use it to find the other area where the second line turns green.
