How do I get to thief V's hide out without being spotted?

You have to walk instead of run and when he stops, you have to stop. When you get near your house, walk up more toward the town hall, but not too much.

You stay a little bit behind him but not too close, and not too far away. Once you get to the waterfall, make sure when he turns corners he doesnt see you, because thats were I keep getting caught out..

When he starts going up to his hideout up on the bridge with the waterfall. The best way to not let him see you is to hide just below the bridge. Then hurry and catch up before he gets out of sight.

You have to walk not to close and not to far away from him.when you almost at the water fall make sure that you hide when he is looking behind him and when he continue just follow at a good distance.

Hide down by the little waterfall once you get close to the big one, then hurry to get closer to him. Otherthan that walk and stay close but not to close to him.

I get to the waterfall and he always sees me even after he has turned around which is really annoying, does anyone know how to get past there? By the way you have to stay close behind him and stop at the points he looks back. Once you have followed THIEF V several times you know where he is going to look back.
If anyone knows how to pass the waterfall please help me.
