I bought this game pre-owned a couple of days ago and I want to know whether there is any way of resetting/restarting the game so I can play it from the beginning and lose all high scores.

The instruction manual says "To erase all saved data, simultaneously press SELECT and the L, X and B Buttons while booting Mr. DRILLER Drill Spirits".
Be aware that the game does not have any deletion warning/confirmation screen, so once you successfully use the above key combination there is no turning back
