Could you please help, it says I'm to befriend charles but when I go to the manor (v.i.p room), he just dances! I press A and nothing happens

It told me to go to the cash register in the salon and purchase vitamins.So I did and I gave them to him by pressing share/gift/vitamins.Then it started to let me talk to him.
Buy some Vitamins in the salon and then meet him again and (Share, Gift, Vitamins) Then he will start talking.
