Draw a line going south for 2 squares, immediately to the right of the pear on the top line. Turn west for one square, then south for one square then east for 2 squares. You should now be in the centre of the plot, between the apples. Go south for 2 squares, west for one square, north for one square then west for 2 squares, you have now met the western boundary and should have marked a plot of 9 squares.
You can then copy this shape to create the other plots. If you are still struggling, here are the rest of the instructions:
Start again in the centre between the apples and draw a line east for 2 squares, south for one square, west for one square and sounth for 2 squares. Lastly return to the centre and go north for 2 squares, east for 1 square, south for 1 square and east for 2 squares.
