I Lost in Blue 2 different from Lost In Blue 3?

Hi
I want to get Lost in Blue 3, but it's not released in the UK untill 1 Jan 09. I was thinking about getting Lost in Blue 2 whilst waiting, but I was wondering if Lost in Blue 3 is the same as Lost in Blue 2, or is it a continuation of the game and are they both different?

Okay, it's too late to answer but is do.
I heard that you don't have to buy lost in blue 3 if you already played lost in blue 2, but if you don't you better buy lost in blue 3. That's what I heard
