I kinda have the same question as confused gamer but a little more specific...

I don't know if it matters where you hit them, I think it matters more on the quality of you're arrow. The best arrow is made of bone, bamboo, and feather, but since you don't get bone until you kill you're first animal, just use a sharpened stone. I would use a bamboo bow too. The large trap is made out of a wooden stick and a tree vine. The also works well for kill large animals, because it holds them still while you shoot them. *If you haven't figured this out already, catching a chicken with the small trap also allows domestication, where Skye can get eggs. But she has to have bottles of water to give it or it won't lay any eggs and will die.

You need to make a large trap first. You will need 1 vine from the jungle and 1 wood stick. ^_^ then go to the grassland and set the trap some where.(i would put more than 1 trap, that way you have a better chance of getting a larger anmal) anyways, check them every 1-2 days(or longer!!!!). If an animal is traped just go into "hunting mode" and shot it a couple times with your arrows. You can also domesticate goats!!!! YAY!!!!!!! You get fur, meat, and lard from large animals(and milk from goats)!!!!! WOOT WOOT!!!!!!!
