Oh okay newbie, I will help you out Smile

Action Replay Codes are special codes that are made in conjunction with the Action Replay DS cheat device. For the codes to work, you must have an Action Replay DS, and you must have the correct codes for Pokemon Diamond for the Action Replay DS. Yes, you do have to buy something. You must buy the Action Replay device, it can be found at any game store.

Action Replay is a cheat device that connects to your Nintendo DS system and lets you enter codes to hack games.

It's very popular mostly among Pokemon fans simply for the reason you can turn the whole game around within minutes by entering certain codes.

Codes can include tickets that are usually only available at Pokemon events. And legendary Pokemon such as Deoxys, Ho-oh, Lugia, Dialga, Palkia, Rayquaza, Groudon, Kyogre etc. Basically all legendaries on any level you want them, and the place you want to encounter them. Of course it's the same thing for normal pokemon.

For me , Action Replay can get you out of a sticky situation and if you have the Pokesav as well all the Action Replay, you hack the whole of Diamond/Pearl. (And I mean everything, from how many Pokemon you have, to your name, gender - everything).

And if you have bought the action replay, make sure to check out SuperCheats' action replay section.

Action Replay is a cheating device that allows different things depending on the code. The individual codes are entered to give a unique identifier in the game, which when activated gives a certain response (EX: Walk through walls). The only things you need for Action Replay is the actual Action Replay cartridge and the oftware that comes with it. You can manually type in the codes, or just copy and paste them from the computer.

Action Replay codes come out all the time, and there is a program that some members here use that creates different codes. The program is called Pokesav, and if you check the codes page for Pokemon, you will definately see alot of those. Make sure the code is tested first. You wouldn't want to ruin your save data trying to use a code.

Also, if you are trying to type it in by hand, double check it, because with one wrong letter, one of two things will happen.
1) You turn the code on and your game goes Bye-Bye!
2) Action Replay catches the error and prompts you to retype it.

Any way you do it, just take note of the risk that you are taking with AR.

Bye-bye? Seriously? Thats like the most hilarious things ive ever heard!
v-gamer answered:

An Action Replay is a cheating device used to activate events in the game that aren't supposed to occur, such as walking through solid walls and the sort. It's literally used for cheating, such as getting Rare Candies and Master Balls, and encountering any Pokemon of your choice.

It sounds like a good thing, but as any other cheating of any kind, there's a drawback. Using an Action Replay to cheat is highly putting your game in risk of a virus, which could cause your file to be deleted or you game be ruined.

Now, what Action Replay codes are, they're the cheats used to unlock those events in the game. You can request a code here: http://forums.supercheats.com/newtopic.php?forum=1828, and someone will give you the code, or tell you there isn't a such thing.

You can buy an Action Replay at any electronic store, such as Gamestop or Best Buy, or at a store like Toys R Us or Wal Mart. You have a safer bet of buying it online, such as at eBay, but you'll need to pay extra for shipping and handling. A normal Action Replay costs about twenty American dollars.
