After defeating Sara and the Benten Forest Demon in the Present Era, return to the Fuedal Era. Go to Kaede's Village to regroup with the others and learn that they haven't uncovered any new information regarding Datura. Miroku will mention having to go further North. The group dismays about walking so far. Miroku will then mention flying and mentions the name Hachi, which prompts a scene showing a Raccoon Demon exiting the village in the direction of the Bone Eater's Well. Follow him to the Well's area. As you enter, take the first right to a dead end area with a tree stump. Hachi should be there. After a little "persuading" from his Master Miroku, Hachi agrees to fly you anywhere you want for 100 MON, 300 later on in the game when you have to go to the far North. Hope this helps!!!
