Question for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2

Im stuck on the part where Magonigal and Flickwick has to defeat the carrows in the great hall, can anyone help please?

Try & get at the back of one of the carrows use stupefy to make them disppear & keep for where one of them is on the top screen. Keep doing this until you can go on to the next bit

This is what go me through:
I went to the back of the room. There is an identation on the lower left of the wall. I stood in there and waited for one of the Carrows to come after me. I used Protego constantly, then started hitting the Carrow with Stupefy.
Then I started moving up to the next indentation on the wall and did the same.
I made my way up to the top identation in the room and just continued with Protego and Stupefy until they were both defeated and the game cut away to the story again.
This was on the Nintendo DS.
