Question for Final Fantasy III

OK this is going to be so stupid, I already know that....how can I tell if I have used the Mini spell correctly and all of my party is mini? I try to use the spell and it says already learned for all of them but I cannot find the gnome village and I've wandered all over that dang forest. Help please and thanks!

There should be a status icon next to your characters on the status screen similar to a small head with a hat if you've used the spell correctly on all of them. The gnome village is located towards the bottom of the forest to the left. If you still are unable to find it try using the spell Sight or some gnome's bread to view a complete map, it should display the exact location of the village.
