Question for Final Fantasy III

How can you even play this? I've been unable to get past the sealed cave quest since the monsters 2 hit all of your characters.

You have to train and at least get to level 6 , then beat those monsters, the skeletons,be sure to carry alot of potions ,mostly like 10, and after that I don't know what to do, look a walkthrough in youtube.Hoepe this helps

In that castle to the west, if you enter the western tower and reach the top there is a sword called Wightslayer which is super effective against undead (which primarily inhabit the sealed cave).
