The players you get are completely random so pick the Gold pack and hope you get him.
I got roben and reyes in a pack
Go to ultimate challege, open 1 bronze, 2 slivers and 2 golds. Open the 3rd gold and inside would be Messi
Depending on progress on manager mode is whether you get him because as soon as youve got a star go and open packs and youll find a good player not necessarily messi though it's how I got alves, xavi fabregas and alonso and messi and may I also advise you find jason culina and marko marin as well
I tried that as well it doesn't wok just hit gold pack until you get him.
To get better chances of getting Messi it is best to open packs with more rares. For example, you will get a better chance getting Messi in a premium gold pack then a gold pack. Also when exclusive packs like rare gold player packs come you should buy them as quick as possible as they have a certain amount of time before they go. This will be the best pack to open as the pack on lye contains players. Hope this helped!😃
