Question for Eragon

I'm in the building in the Hadarac desert on the third platform where you kill the ghost things with the lightning bolt spell and there is a round brown thing in the middle of the room and the door won't open and I keep killing the ghost things but as soon as I do another one pops up and I can't get out!!!!

please help me

I think you cast harden at the ghosts when they're on the brown thing to lower the door ^^
