What you have to do to get him out is...
(you just learned to push), follow the car then when it's stopped stand next to it without getting hit by it, push the car it will flip upside down then(you already learned the smash with the staff) take out your staff and use the smash and keep doing that until it gets back up then it will drive again (repeat the following steps until it stops in the middle of the screen and explodes)
