miss direction

I'm trying to get the mold of the bullet wound. But it isn't working. I have restarted the case numerous times thinking I was missing something. But it just won't make the mold. I dont know if I'm trying to do the wrong hole or what but it is driving me crazy!!!! Please help

All you have to do is click the bottom bullet hole enough to where the bullet hole is all you see. Then make the mold

Right. Had this issue too and finally figured it out. The issue isn’t with not zooming in far enough though when you get it right you will zoom in further. Here’s what I suspect you haven’t done which allows you to use Microsol on the wound...
On the stage, click on the marked “+” symbol behind the lady - this should be a hot spot and should tell you about where actors stand. Then you can ask the lady (sorry, can’t recall her name) where she was standing and if she shot her. Now, the trajectory becomes important...
Go to Gus and now look at the real bullet wound, Nick will not tell you something about finding trajectories and you will be able to use the microsol!!!
