Hi I am stuck on the first case, I can not put the the two springs together at all it wont let me if anyone can help me thanks.

You have to bring up the first spring. Keep it open on the screen, then go to the other spring and drag it to the screen with first spring. Then push your other spring up to the combine label and it should join it together. Good luck.
