If you happen to get a Female Chimchar, Piplup or Turtwig don't despair! Catch a male Shinx as soon as you can then level it up till it evolves into a Luxio then put your starter which has evolved into Monferno, Prinplup or Grotle. And all you have to do is wait. You don't even need a Ditto!
