Aside from that, according to some other forums, sometimes the problem is that there are previous challenges that you must complete before moving on to this one. If you are talking about the wii version, then there is only one 'fight spot' in the wild zone. The dude at the beach near the mini games is the only place.

On a side note, where the heck did you hear about there being multiple fight spots in the wild zone? Whoever told you that was probably VERY confused. I think you must be thinking about the ds version. I can't help you if that's the case, but if it's the wii/ps3/xbox version you're talking about, then this should answer your question.
