I don't have this game but I have the first one, I think your question was posted in the list for the first game. Aside from that, according to some other forums, sometimes the problem is that there are previous challenges that you must complete before moving on to this one. They also say to slow down and hover above the perch before pressing the 'A' button. I hope this helps you, and sorry I couldn't be of much help.
