If you have a Gold or Silver versain and the little GB pak in, you could trade it there and name it in Goldenrod City.
Yes, you can.
In Lavender or Goldenrod, talk to the Name Rater.
He'll allow you to nickname your Pokemon.
Talk to the name rater in Goldenrod City and he'll let you nickname any Pokemon that weren't traded.
You need to have the Game Boy version to nickname your pokemon.
You need to atleast have the Pokemon Gold or Silver to get the Pokemon nicknamed.
