Don't rush into a building as soon as the round starts. Use the short preparation time to look around and find places you can escape to. Once you know the disaster, move to the safest spot for it.

• Watch the Building You're On

Buildings can become dangerous during a disaster. Earthquakes can shake them apart, and floods can damage them. If the building starts breaking, move before you get trapped.

• Find Good High Ground

Get to higher ground when a Tsunami or Flash Flood starts, but don't always head for the tallest building. Find a solid place with enough room to move if the building starts to break.

• Don't Follow Everyone

Don't squeeze onto the same ladder or small platform as everyone else. Keep another way out if possible. This is especially useful during Tsunamis and Flash Floods when you may need to move quickly.

• Use the Right Strategy

Different disasters need different tactics. Get away from buildings during an Earthquake, move away from the path of a Tornado, and get out of the Avalanche's path. Don't use the same strategy for every disaster.
