Myst (2021) is a graphic adventure puzzle game that is a remake of the game which originally released in 1993. You arrive on the beautiful island of Myst which is eerily tinged with mystery and shrouded in intrigue. There you find two brothers, Sirrus and Achenar, trapped in prison books. They tell you that when their father Atrus found his library destroyed, he imprisoned them both until he could determine which of them committed the crime. Use the Flashlight

In the remastered 2021 version of Myst you have a flashlight, which you can use to maneuver through dark areas of the map. This is something that was not provided in the original 90s version of the game. Make sure you take full advantage of the flashlight while searching for the switches in each location, which will provide a lot more light and usually denote a puzzle of some kind.

How to get the Stoneship Achievement

To get this achievement in Myst you need to find a way back from the Stoneship Age. You can enter the area by raising the ship and reading the book in the captain's quarters. Solve the Chest, Beacon, and Power Battery puzzles to return to Myst. The secret to the age is the E shaped lever right behind the spawn.

Take your Time

You will not be able to complete Myst in one session, there is literally too much information to take in and process, and the amount of concentration needed to do so in order to progress will take it's toll. You have a far more enjoyable gaming experience if each time you log in you focus on solving a few puzzles, taking notes while you do so. By taking notes, you will be able to take a break and return to the game and have something you can refer to that will jog your memory and be fresh to tackle new puzzles.

Pay Attention to Small Details

Literally everything that is in Myst has been deliberately placed to provide you with clues and many of them will not become apparently clear until later on in the playthrough, so it is crucial that you pay attention to small details that seem irrelevant and make a note of them. You do not have to use a physical notepad and pen to jot down notes, taking screenshots will also work.

It cannot be stressed enough how crucial it is to take notes as you progress through Myst. Whether it's icons, dates, constellations, or times you must make a note of them as they are all relevant and at some point during the game will provide the clue you are looking for that will help you to progress. Always keep in mind that each puzzle is interconnected and whenever you complete one a new area will open, or it will provide vital information about another sector of the map.

Revisit Points of Interest

Whenever you solve a task in Myst, the game will reveal how you can initiate a new task. Nearly all the POIs (points of interest) are nearby to the spawn point, and it is at these locations you should begin tackling the new task. If at any point you find the game confusing, and you are not progressing you should rotate between the known POIs as one of these places will likely be the location you need to visit in order to proceed with the game. More often than not, when you can't figure something out, the answer will be closer than you think.

How to get the Can Opener Achievement

To get this achievement, you need to solve the gear puzzle inside the clocktower. The correct order of numbers from top to bottom is 221. Press the right lever twice, and press and hold the left lever until the 2 reaches the middle. Once you complete both, you will gain access to the Mechanical Age. The book to access the age is on the platform by the dock.
