Introduction

This is Bronco11's Review on MVP Baseball 2004. EA finally went into the Baseball series in 2003, only to compete with MLB 2004, for PS2, and ESPN Baseball 2K3 for XBox and PS2. Being the only Baseball game for GameCube, many baseball fans that only have a GameCube, would drool over this game. However, some may think the next generation game, is worth the wait.

Graphics

The Graphics for this Game are better than 2K5, and MLB 2005. They almost look real. The only part that they do not look real in, is the create your very own player feature. They do not have enough faces to make it that only 2 players in the league look alike. Maybe next game, they should make around 150 to 200 faces. Other than that, the Graphics for this game are pretty much perfect.

Sound

Commentary and Audio, has always been the weak point for EA SPorts, and in this game, it doesn't get much better. Duaine Kiper, and Mike Krukow, whom are the commentators for this game, can be funny, but very repetitive. The crowd gets really loud after a Home Run, and if you get 3 outs right after that Home Run, they are still very loud. There is the same problem with the booing. The soundtrack has some sool songs on it though. EA Sports always has a good Soundtrack.

Gameplay

This game takes some getting used to. The pitching is really hard, unless every pitch you throw is a Four Seam Fastball, which wears players out a little bit faster. On this game you can earn MVP points, so you can unlock legendary Jerseys, Stadiums, and Players. The Dynasty mode on this game is fantastic. It is a 120 season thing. You can tinker with the software like you do on some racing games. You can organize a fantasy Draft in which you pick firs, you can turn on the Unfair Trades Option which allows you to trade your not-very-good players, for the best, of the best. The Team Chemistry plays a big roll in DynastyMode. It lets you know how players feel about being on your team. Another function of this game is the cability to manage games, to test your management skills. There are also Triple A, and Double A Leagues.

Lastability

This game does not get boring, and is very hard to put down once the Baseball Season is over. It is fun to deal with E-mails from Team Staff, and Team Media, concerning players behavior, strategies on upcoming series, and much more! It is much better than Madden NFL, because you can't create your own team. ( Creating a Team that has a Certain Strategy getsborin very, very, fast! ) You have to deal with Frustration and Strategies, which you can't do on other Baseball Titles,

Overall

This game is hard to put down, and worth the money. I may suggest that you wait for the 2006, which comes out next year, or buy 2005, which is available now. This title is better than any other title out there, no matter which console you have. Hopefully, the 2006 version will be on all the consoles-the PS3, XBox 360, and the Nintendo Revolution- along with all of the consoles that are among us now.

Final Score: 88%
