To take corners in MotoGP 23 you not only have to steer the bike but also shift the rider's weight. Steering the bike is done by moving the analogue stick left or right and keeping it center on straight stretches of track. To shift the weight of your rider when you approach a corner you need to move the analogue stick in the direction of the corner. It is essential that you do this as it will also balance the bike.

It is important to always keep in mind that MotoGP bikes race at very high speeds and have longer breaking distances and less grip when compared to F1 cars. This means it is harder for MotoGP bikes to slow down, so it is crucial that you ease off the throttle and brake early when you approach a corner. Make sure you use the white markers that are on the trackside as reference points as you enter the actual corner. The correct way to take a corner, so you maintain your speed is slow in and fast out which must be done progressively and smoothly.

If you are new to MotoGP 23 it is recommended that you select the 'Rookie' setting which will enable automatic steering, acceleration and braking. You can also stabilize the bike when cornering by setting 'Electronics' to 'Assisted'. As you get more proficient in the game you can fine-tune these settings in the pre-race menu by pressing the 'Square' button on your PlayStation controller or 'X' on your Xbox controller.

Another setting you should consider enabling if you are new to MotoGP 23 is the 'Ideal Trajectory' in the 'Game Experience' setting. This feature will display the optimum acceleration and braking points to corner at the right speed. You need to accelerate when the trajectory is blue and ease off the throttle when it becomes yellow. When it becomes red you need to brake. Make sure you stick to the indicated racing line as doing so will help you to set a faster lap time.
