Minecraft Dungeon Tips
Constantly Check your Map
Your map will continuously change as you progress through the dungeons so it is essential that you continually check it. You will find that the way point marker is extremely useful when you are exploring the different levels.
Don't Always Follow the Way Point Marker
Although the way point marker on your map is a great guide you should not be afraid to explore as you can get rewarded heavily in Minecraft Dungeons for veering off the main quest route. The way point marker only leads you through the most efficient route.
Fall Damage
Don't forget while you are exploring that jumping off tall ledges will inflict fall damage. If you are too high up the fall will be fatal.
Enter Houses and Caves
Enter any house or cave you come across as there is alway the possibility that you will find new levels to unlock, or chests and vases to break open.
How to find the Objective
If you ever get lost you can get back on track by following the golden emblem on the main screen as it will show you which way your objective is.
Explore the Surrounding Area
Make sure you explore the area surrounding your Camp as doing so will enable you to find hidden lobby chests that will reward you with 50 Emeralds.
Glowing Green Pots
As you progress through dungeons always keep an eye out for brown coloured pots that glow green. Make sure you smash these whenever you find them as they will reward you with Emeralds.
How to Make Reward Chests Appear
Thoroughly check everywhere when searching a dungeon for reward chests as they will not always appear automatically. There will be instances where you will need to stand right next to the chest for it to appear.
Spawning Supply Chests
Whenever you enter a heavily populated area or are about to encounter a major battle a supply chest will always spwan which will provide you with Arrows and Bread.
Listen to Music and Sounds
Always listen to the music and sounds as you progress through dungeons as they can often be cues for impending battles ahead or nearby chests.
Craft Powerful Gear
The blacksmith is able to craft you unique items and powerful gear whenever you have the required resources so make sure you take advantage of him whenever possible. Remember also that you can trade with the blacksmith.
Exploding Mobs and Objects
Be wary of mobs and objects you encounter that have a slightly transparent white circle on the ground around them as this indicates the radius of the blast when they explode.
Unlock Story Quest Items
Defeat evey adversery and boss you encounter throughout the maps in the Story Quest as many of them drop weapons and armour sets.
How to get Healing Items
If you are running low on health there is a possibility you will be able to replenish it by killing friendly mobs such cows, pigs, and sheep as they will often drop healing items.
Kill the Enchanters First
Take down the Enchanter enemy as quickly as possible when you encounter them otherwise these purple robe wearing Illagers can quickly make combat encounters very challenging as their magic ability allows them to connect with other mobs and make them significantly stronger.
Don't Let Creepers get Close
It is safer to take down the Creepers from afar or to use a weapon with knockback as this type of enemy will explode once they get close.
Carrying TNT
You can carry multiple packs of TNT (they stack on top of your head) and you will throw them all at once when you throw them. Try to save the TNT for when you come across the next big group of enemies.
Complete Maps
Whenever you complete a map you will be able to open a chest which contains anything from new weapons and armour, to artefacts for your character to equip.
