A former member of the criminal underworld is lured back into 'the life' by a mysterious drone claiming they have until sunrise to prevent a citywide criminal takeover together. Use fists, feet, knives, pipes, pistols, machine guns and more to wade through piles of enemies on your way to victory.

Below is a collection of hints and tips that will help you to progress in the game. These include why, to begin with you should ignore the challenges after a mission and why you should use Focus:
- Ignore the Challenges
When you complete each mission you will receive a score based on how you performed during combat. In order to gain an S-Rank you will need to complete challenges and these require a specific set of skills which only become available later in the game.
This means to begin with you should ignore the challenges and return to them to attempt to get an S-rank when you have the necessary skills.
- Take Advantage of Focus
The Focus mechanic in Midnight Fight Express is an effective tool, and you should take advantage of it whenever possible.
Focus allows you to slow time and create a strategy when surrounded by multiple enemies. Focus also reveals enemy health bars and lets you scope out the environment for weapons, throwable objects, and explosive items to use in combat.
- Practice your Skills
To become proficient with the skills that you unlock in Midnight Fight Express requires practice and the game offers you a chance to test out your new skills in the Playground.
The Playground is an area where you can choose to face waves of enemies or a single enemy and figure out how to implement your new skills in combat.
- Lean to Parry and Counter First
In order to be successful in Midnight Fight Express it is essential that you learn how to parry and counter attacks.
The Parry and Counter skills should be the first that you unlock as they will make you a better fighter in the street and give you the opportunity to learn the exact timing and speed of enemies in combat.
