Midnight Club: LA Remix is the best racing game for the PSP platform. No other game can compare to the stunning graphics, the career gameplay, and free-roam. All of the cars in this game are created to fit the real-life cars. The custom parts that you can add to your car seem endless. Whether it is the color, vinyls, engine upgrades, or the body upgrades the creators of this game definitely thought through the upgrades. The story line is easy to follow. A racer wants to be the best, and to get there he battles countless foes to work his way to the top and be known as the best Midnight Club Racer in the world. To do this you, being that racer must race against the best racers. You must beat time trials, that do seem impossible to beat. You have to work you way up the ranks starting at Novice Driver and finishing at Legendary. It is a feat that you will enjoy at the end of the Campaign. Hopefully you have what it takes to become...the best racer in the Midnight Club.Spoiler:
Great graphics definitely better than Midnight Club Dub Edition. Stunning effects takes this game to the next level. The hills in Hollywood California come to life in this game. The cars were flawless, even though there weren't as many vehicles in this game as Dub Edition. I did like how the Creators added rain "hitting" your windshield, that was definitely a great touch.
The sounds definitely were better than the first one that came out. The sounds of the city do come to life in this game, whether it is from the honking of the city, to sirens wailing, even to the thunder when raining, it made this game definitely stand out to me and my experience playing it.
The gameplay far outplays all other racing games for this platform. The story line is something that isn't to complicated to follow, yet has intriguing characters. The one thing that was different in this one is you didn't meet the mechanics as you did in the first one. I liked that part, because it showed that all of the mechanics had their own personality and unique style. The addition of Deliveries into the game was pretty ingenious. But it is really sad that they didn't allow it also in the Tokyo city.
This game isn't one that is easy to beat. Once you do however, you may not want to play the game. I haven't seen it that way. I love playing the freeroam, because I have a great imagination. This allows me to create scenes in freeroam that wouldn't really happen, such as I have my own "house" there in the game. I can't get into it, but it's the way my brain thinks. After you do beat it you can replay races, do deliveries, time trials, and more. It will definitely stay with me for a long time.
This game was definitely what I was looking for in a racing game. It allowed me to race and freeroam, which is what I like to do best. I have beat the game, and still love it. If you are in fact a racing enthusiast, then by all means GET THIS GAME. The creators were amazing with it
