Metin 2 is a MMORPG published in America by GameForge. Formerly a European game, it was published in America to increase it's playbase. Set in a Medieval timeperiod, you are a warrior fighting for the country of your choice in a continetal war spurred on by the Metin Stones. Let's move on to the areas of importance in this game.
The graphics are outdated, frankly, and old. They look okay, but they aren't eye popping. They were bland, but the sky was my favorite part of these graphics. That impressed me. Nothing else really stood out to me, they looked a bit like the everyday MMO graphics.
Overall, a seven out of ten for graphics.
The sound was mediocre, a lot of the music was okay, but not at all amazing. The battle sounds were recycled, as were many things. Your sword sounded the same as a axe or lance, and they should sound much different. That wasn't the greatest ever. I expected more.
Overall, a six out of ten.
Gameplay was good, at best. The enemies and quests were recycled, but fun nonetheless. There was a lack of a distict story in any direction, so you couldn't do much storywise.
There was almost no character customization, besides many choices of armor and weapons and other gear, which was the one high point.
Even though everything was a bit recycled, it was fantastic to explore and meet new people. Overall, a seven out of ten.
This game isn't much of a laster because it isn't well known. But it will last a reasonable amount of time among it's players.
It isn't the kind of game that really turns heads, so it really has to struggle for new players. It is immensely popular in Europe, so the game will be running for a while yet, even though it's popularity is down in the you.S.
Overall, a six out of ten.
Overall, I must give it a seven out of ten. This game was fun and still is fun, as I still play it, but it isn't the best game ever. It doesn't compare to lots of other MMO's, but I still love it.
This game isn't a standout in any of the four catergories, but it is balanced and deserves a seven, at least.
I hope you enjoyed this review.
