Introduction

Mercenaries was a good game for it's time. It still holds up even today. It's set in North Korea, and you play as 1 of 3 mercenaries working for different factions against the NK. Free roam was amazing in this game. Too bad the sequel wasn't as good as this. This remains my favorite game to date. I still play it because it's just that addictive!!!

Graphics

The graphics were great for the PS2, but in today's world I can't give it a 10.Example:

Some of the textures weren't so great, but it's a PS2 game, so that is to be expected.

Sound

Great sound. Except for the shotgun. All sounds were good. Vehicle's sounds changed with how fast you went. Guns sound alright, especially the silenced guns and the AK-47. Sports cars sound fast and tanks sound powerful and mean. Explosions make huge BOOM's as well.

Gameplay

Great gameplay, but sometimes glitched up, and those were terrible! Fun free roam, with random battles all over the world, two giant sections with seperate Ace missions make for a great game. You can have guns/amma/tanks/cars/whaever air dropped from the "Merchant of Menace." Adds a great on demand arsonal.

Lastability

This game is great to play over and over! The missions are all unique and are well spread out....... It's very addictive and I have completed it many times. The side missions are sometimes odd, but that's great as well. It's easy to play constantly!!

Overall

This is a fun sandbox shooter that def. Deserves a great score and to be played by everyone! It has a lot of guns and cars, with plenty of things to do in every part of the world. If you still have a Ps2, you should definatly check this out. You simply can't miss out on it.
