Learn the Basics and get Skills by Completing Challenges

It is recommended that you make completing the challenges your first priority in Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Peter Parker has set up a series of challenges for Miles around the city that involve combat, traversal, and stealth and each one you manage to complete will unlock a useful ability. Doing the challenges will also give you the opportunity to learn the basics of the game. Listed below are the challenges, their prerequisite, and what you will earn completing them.

Spin Cycle (Combat)

Prerequisite: Combat Challenge 1.0 completed.

When throwing an enemy, rapidly press Triangle during the throw to continue spinning them.

Payback (Combat)

Prerequisite: Combat Challenge 1.0 and 2.0 completed.

Press Triangle after a Perfect Dodge against rifle and pistol shots for an instant Takedown.

Air Marshal (Combat)

Prerequisite: Combat Challenge 2.0 and 3.0 completed.

Air attacks deal additional damage and generate more Venom.

Point Launch Boost (Traversal)

Prerequisite: Traversal Challenge 1.0 completed.

Press X on contact when zipping to a point to massively boost Point Launch distance.

Quick Recovery (Traversal)

Prerequisite: Traversal Challenge 1.0 and 2.0 completed.

After landing, press X during a roll to launch back into the air.

Quick Zip (Traversal)

Prerequisite: Traversal Challenge 2.0 and 3.0 completed.

Web Zip with X a second time without losing altitude.

Silent Step (Stealth)

Prerequisite: Stealth Challenge 1.0 completed.

Enemies take longer to detect you in stealth.

Scare Tactics (Stealth)

Prerequisite: Stealth Challenge 1.0 and 2.0 completed.

Stealth Takedowns generate more Venom.

Surprise Attack (Stealth)

Prerequisite: Stealth Challenge 2.0 and 3.0 completed.

Upgrades Web-Strike Takedowns so nearby enemies are knocked back.
