To get the Competitive Spirit Trophy you must beat Phin at the rocket launch mini-game. You will be given the opportunity to get this trophy in the 'Like Real Scientists' mission which is one of the last missions in the game. During the 'Like Real Scientists' mission there will be a flashback with Miles and Phin at Oscorp Science Center where they were teenagers. There is a rocket launch mini-game in the 2nd exhibition hall after the aquarium and in order to beat Phin and earn the tropy you need to hit the Square button faster than him. You can retry it as many times as you want.
