Marvel's Avengers Tips

Don't Search for Resources
There is no need to search for resourcess in Marvel's Avengers as the game is littered with plenty of smashable crates with them inside. You will be able to get more than enough during the early game by just completing missions and killing enemies.

Dismantle Lower Level Gear
During the course of the game you will constantly pick up new equipment and gear for your character. A lot of it though will be weaker than what you already have currently equipped so is not much use to you. Earn some extra resources and free up inventory slots by dismantling it, this is done by holding the Triangle button on your controller.

Save Time Exploring
Before you reach the main objective in a lot of the missions in Marvel's Avengers you will come across plenty of areas that have side objectives to complete, these will include finding hidden goodies like chests or saving inhumans. You can save time exploring by marking them on your HUD by pressing up on the d-pad of your controller.

Marvel's Avengers Gameplay

Deal with Ranged Enemies First
You will find that in most combat encounters you will be attacked by ranged enemies such as nearby turrets and flying drones. These will continually get in your way until they are taken down do deal with them first before focussing your attention to the ground-based enemies.

Complete Iconic Missions
When you unlock each one of the Avengers you will also unlock their Iconic Missions. These are a short set of missions that will enable you to get some extra gear by completing them. Playing these missions will also fill some gaps in the main mission storyline. Completing the Iconic Missions for a characters usually takes 1-2 hours.

Auto Equip
If you are in doubt as to what gear you should equip your character you can ensure that you have the best gear possible by pressing and holding L2. When you do this the game will automatically equip the best gear available for your character.

How to Increase Reputation

In order to access Marvel's Avengers' gear vendors you must have a high enough reputation with their faction. There are currently two factions in Marvel's Avengers and to obtain the required reputation you must visit the coordinators (See below) for each faction when you log in every day and pick up all eight of their assignments and their Villain Sector quests. When you complete them you will increase your reputation. Just remember to cash them in to claim your rewards.

S.H.I.E.L.D.
The coorinator of S.H.I.E.L.D. Is Alison Morales and you can find her on the Helicarrier, on the second floor of the War Table room.

Inhuman Resistance
Sarah Garza is the coordinator of the Inhuman Resistance and you can find her in the Ant Hill, near the character select terminal.

Regain Health During Combat

In Marvel's Avengers you are able to regain some health during the middle of combat by performing a takedown. In order to do this you must first stun an enemy with a heroic ability so that a button prompt appears on screen. Performing a takedown on an enemy out will allow you to recover Willpower, which is essentially your health. Sometimes, after defeating your opponents, some green, slightly glowing objects will appear on the ground. Picking them up will also restore some health of your character.
