Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope Cheats, Tips Strategy

Below is a collection of hints and tips that will help you to progress in the game. These include why you should save your star potions for the later levels and how you can unlock more sparks.

Scout the Map Before Battles

It is important that before the start of every battle you click the left thumbstick of your Nintendo Switch controller. This will give you control of Beep-O, your drone, and you will be able to use him to get a bird's-eye view of the battlefield which you can then explore to find out what resistance you can expect to encounter when the battle begins. Use this information to plan your strategy and switch up your loadout accordingly.

Save your Star Potions

There are two different ways in which you can level up the star creatures called sparks in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. One way is by spending the star bits you earn from defeating enemies and completing missions while the other way is to use a star potion which will automatically advance a spark's level by one. As sparks level up at an exponential rate it is recommended that you save your star potions for when you reach the higher levels when leveling costs more (sparks max out at level 5).

Use the Wave Ability to Find Secrets and New Paths

You will earn the Wave ability for Beep-O early in the second world (Pristine Peaks) and you will be able to use it to break objects that have a special swirl icon on them. The Wave is an essential ability which you will need to help solve several puzzles as you play through the game. Keep in mind that this Wave ability can also be used to break any cracked wall that can be found throughout the game on the different planets. Even though the cracked walls lack the Waves swirl symbol you can still use the ability to break them open to reveal some kind of secret or new path.

Use the Scan Ability to Reveal Invisible Paths and Objects

On the third world (Pallet Prime) you will get the Scan ability which will allow you to reveal invisible paths and objects you can't otherwise see. Whenever you come across footprints, an invisible object blocking your path, a yellow shimmer, or a yellow swirl it indicates that there is something nearby which you will be able to reveal using your Scan ability.

Unlock Sparks

It is recommended that you try and complete most of the side quests as they reward you with a planet coin upon completion which you can save up to obtain a key for the planet's 'secret zone'. The entrance to a secret zones is a semicircular, rainbow-hued door (they are also marked as such on your map) and usually entail a simple environmental puzzle to solve and possibly some combat. Completing a secret zone will earn you a new spark, there are 30 sparks in total you can unlock by completing the game's side quests.
