In Maid of Sker you will encounter creepy enemies inside the hotel, figures with sacks over their head that stalk around the hotel's corridors searching for intruders. Although these enemies are blind and unable to see you they make up for it by possesssing uncanny hearing which enables them to hear the slightest sound. Once alerted of your presence these enemies will relentlessly chase and lunge at you and you will find it difficult to get rid of them.

How to Get Past Enemies

In order to prevent alerting enemies of your presence you need to stealthily move around the hotel making as little noise as possible. In Maid of Ker you will be able to do this by sneaking, this is performed by pressing the right analogue stick. If while exploring the hotel you see an enemy approaching the best tactic you can employ is to tuck yourself out of the way of their path and remain still and hope they do not walk too close to where you are otherwise they will detect you even though they can't see you. If the enemy does not become aware of your presence you simply need to remain still until they are out of earshot before moving on.

In Maid of Sker the enemies sense of hearing is so acute that even breathing can give away your whereabouts. To mask the noise you make breathing you can press the right analogue on your controller to cover your mouth and hold your breath. It is important that you remember to do this whenever you have to cross an area that is dusty or has a fire as both will make you cough which will instantly alert any nearby enemies of your position.

If you hold your breath for too long it will result in the screen slowly draining to black and white indicating you are running out of air. Remember that the longer you hold back from breathing the more damage you do to yourself. Make sure you are out of earshot of enemies when you do eventually start breathing again as there will be a big gasp of air.
