Little Friends: Cats & Dogs is a pet simulation game that is exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. The game offers a variety of puppies and kittens which you can interact with. How to Unlock a Cat
You will not be able to get a cat straight away in Little Friends: Cats & Dogs. In order to unlock a cat you must first reach Level 15. Once you hit this level you need to head to the 'Going Out' section of the menu where the icon for 'Friends Plaza' will now be unlocked, and you will be able to meet cats. You will be presented with three cats from which you can choose one to adopt. Once you have selected one you will be able to play with it, pet it, feed it, and also dress it up.
Remember to Save
It is essential that you save Little Friends: Cats & Dogs regularly to retain your progress. You will be able to save the game at the main pet menu, inside your house by pressing + which will take you to the save screen. It is important to remember that if don't do this and you quit the game while out walking, in the store page or at Competitions you will lose progress.
How to Level Up Fast
In Little Friends: Cats & Dogs you level up by earning Hearts. There is a limit to how many Hearts you can earn per day and once you reach this cap you will need to wait for the next day before you can continue levelling. The daily cap on the number of Hearts you can earn is 25. Listed below are the various ways in which you can earn Hearts quickly in the game.
Walks
The best way to increase the amount of Hearts you earn is by taking your dog out for a walk. You will earn Hearts while dashing, searching for Treasure, sitting at Statues, and Marking.
Food
You can earn Hearts by giving your pets the type of food they like to eat.
Disc Throwing
You can earn plenty of Hearts by training for the various dog competitions in the game. Just take your dog out to practice with discs.
Cat Wand
You can quickly earn Hearts if you have a cat by using the Cat Wand toy.
Walks
The best way to increase the amount of Hearts you earn is by taking your dog out for a walk. You will earn Hearts while dashing, searching for Treasure, sitting at Statues, and Marking.
Food
You can earn Hearts by giving your pets the type of food they like to eat.

How to Unlock Competitions
Competitions in Little Friends: Cats & Dogs are unlocked when you reach Level 10. There are five different competitions of varying difficulty you can enter which will enable you to earn Tickets which you can spend on customization items for your pet.
Beginner Competition:
Green and Orange Tickets
Amateur Competition:
Blue Tickets
Semi Pro Competition:
Pink Tickets
Pro Competition:
Green and Orange Tickets
Master Competition:
Blue Tickets
You will also earn Coins for just making an appearance in a competition and additional Coins for each placement, the higher your placement the more Coins you are awarded. Listed below are some things you can do to make the competitions easier to win.
Practice Disc Throwing:
Practice disc throwing with your dog, make sure to use longer-ranged discs as you enter harder Competitions.
Praise your Dog:
Make sure to praise your dog after it makes a successful catch.
Level Up your Dog:
Levelling up your dog will improve it's performance in Competitions.
Feed your Dog:
Keeping your dog well-fed and happy will improve it's performance in Competitions.
Play in Handheld Mode:
You may have more success in Competitions if you play in Handheld mode as there is less variation on the throws you make when compared to motion controls.
Note: Cats cannot enter Competitions.

| How do you clean your dog? |
| You can clean them by going onto that filthy pet, then click on 'Care' and after that, click on the hand symbol, also known as 'Quality time' Once you're in the quality time, you can either click Y to change to brush or you can swipe your finger across the screen to stroke. Do the same with brushing. Finally, you look underneath the pet name you will see hydration. On the right side of hydration, you will see a symbol of sparkles, that means cleanliness. Keep on brushingstroking until the cleanliness bar is COMPLETELY full. Always brush your dog after walking, a while in the living room, or after an event. A cat, however, will need to be cleaned after a while in the living room as it cannot go outside. Really hope this helps! |
