Actually in this game auto-gather not like you thought , when you minning or logging enough to click once and the rest he will do itself , but when it's done you still need to move by yourself

What he ment by this is, auto-gathering is not like "press a button and the game does everything for you" but its simply "walk up to a tree or rock, press "gather" once and it'll swing it for yoy" kind of auto gather.
