In League of War: Mercenaries battles are won by deploying units onto the battlefield to destroy the enemy base. When units have dealt enough damage to the enemy base it will explode and they will win the battle. The resources players used on deploying units will gradually replenish over time allowing the player to deploy more units. The game has a unique colour scheme that matches individual units with specific advantages over other units, for example red units are strong over infantary, blue units are strong over tanks, green units which are strong over recon, and white units which are strong against air.
