Kena: Bridge of Spirits is basically a Metroidvania game, so there will be certain paths and secret areas in various sections of the map that will be inaccessible until you unlock a certain part of Kena's toolkit, which can only be achieved by progressing further down the main story. This means you will need to backtrack during the game, be sure when you retrace your footsteps you keep an eye out for items in the environment that were not there previously, as they can hold hidden secrets. An example of this is hay piles.
