Jusant is a puzzle platforming game where your character climbs a desolate tower, filled with the artifacts of civilizations long past. Take a look at our Jusant Beginner Cheats and Tips to get help in this climbing puzzler that also has exceptional storytelling.
Keep in mind when you reach the middle chapters of Jusant you will be given choices of pathways to take. If you find that the path you have taken is just a dead end you will have no option but to backtrack slightly in order to take the right path. The only positive thing about taking the wrong pathway is that you will likely find a collectible you would have otherwise missed.
Resist the temptation to simply speed-run through Jusant overcoming obstacles as quickly as possible. Instead, take your time and immerse yourself in the game enjoying the exploration at a leisurely pace. You will find that slowing down and paying attention to the environments around you will give you hints as to what you need to work towards to move forward in the game.
Early in the game, you will be taught the focus mechanic. This useful feature will highlight the general direction of different goals you need to work towards in order to move forward in Jusant. Don't forget to take advantage of the focus mechanic when you get really stuck and need help.
A piton is a peg or spike driven into a rock or crack to support a climber or a rope. During the early game of Jusant the exact functionality of placing pitons might not be clear to you but once you do become aware of pitons and what they are used for you will be able to reach different areas that require traversing a large gap a lot easier. Keep in mind that using a piton will also ensure that if you fall you will not drop all the way back down, but from your piton instead.
It is inevitable that at some point during Jusant you will find that your character has got into an awkward position where there is nothing you can do to escape. When this happens the quickest way back to safety is to pause the game and reload at your last checkpoint. It will mean losing a small amount of progress but it will save you a lot of frustration. The amount of progress you lose is never more than 10 minutes worth.
The main collectibles in Jusant are letters and Bianca journal pages and they are scattered throughout the game. In total, there are 42 letters and 13 journal pages to find and they each disclose a piece of interesting lore about the game. You can read them as you find them or whenever you want by going to the main menu. keep in mind that there are no Bianca journal pages in Chapter 6: Syzygy.
Once you complete Jusant the game allows you to revisit any chapter of the game from its beginning from the menu. This enables you to start the game at six different sections of Jusant easily accessing areas where you are missing out on some of the collectibles.
Remember that you have a limited amount of energy in Jusant and there is a stamina bar that is spent as you jump. You will only have your full stamina back once you are on your feet which means you need to look ahead and plan where you are going to do a big jump and when you are going to rest so you can ensure you have sufficient stamina when you need it.
Your rope doesn't go on forever. You will find that if you climb for too long, you will run out of rope and won't be able to ascend any longer. Once you reach this point it is too late, you will find it impossible to recoil your rope without backtracking. Make sure you avoid this problem by recoiling your rope whenever you have the chance.
