The more enemy dots you kill the greater their value will increase thus the longer you last in the game the higher your score will be.

Killing anything that is not an enemy dot using the floating power orbs will have no effect whatsoever.

A good strategy is to always try and keep your ship moving around the screen in a circular motion with the enemies clustering nearby to you.

The Lightsaber power-up has the ability to cleanly slice through any enemy it is used against but remember there is a slight pause between when you pick it up and when you actually use it.
