If you die during a run you will get the option to spend 5 red star rings to come back to life. This can only be done once per run, if you die a second time during a run you will lose any power-ups you had equipped before dying and you will return for a brief period as the yellow drill wisp and if you manage to win the victory will still count as 'Flawless'.
