RAID: Shadow Legends is a fantasy role-playing game where you collect hundreds of heroes, build a strong team, and then use them to battle through a multitude of campaign levels and dungeons. The game is set in the realm of Teleria which is under threat from the Dark Lord Siroth. Players assume the role of an ancient Telerian warrior resurrected by an immortal guardian to defeat Siroth and restore peace to the realm. Below is a collection of hints and tips that will help you to progress in the game. These include elementalweaknesses and upgrading equipment.
As soon as the tutorial is over tap the 'Quests' button followed by 'Achievements' and focus on completing all of these in sequence. None of them are particularly difficult and completing them will earn you one-off rewards that you will find beneficial as you progress through the game.
If you have no intentions of spending real money on the game you will have no other choice but to put time in instead. This means completing every single Daily, Weekly, and Montly quest so you can earn the rewards they provide such as gems and shards.
The timer ticking down at the bottom right of your screen is for playtime rewards which you earn when the timer hits zero. Again, if you do not want to spend real money and want to take RAID: Shadow Legends seriously you will need to play for 180 minutes each day so you are able to claim the maximum reward which will be items you will struggle during the game to obtain as a free player.
In RAID: Shadow Legends you use shards to summon new heroes. Unlike other games in the genre you do not get more heroes when you summon in bulk so there is no point hanging onto the shards you earn, use them immediately.
Resist the temptation of spending your hard earned gems on items that are in the shop as none of them will be more beneficial to you than the gem mine. Although the gem mine costs 500 gems and will take you a while to save up for if you play for free it will earn you a substantial amount of gems once you own it. You can earn even more gems from it by upgrading it.
Always look to take advantage of elemental weaknesses your enemy may have by bringing to the battle heroes that are strong against that particular element. You will sometimes find that even characters that have a lesser star rating may be able to get the job done due to the advantage. Listed below are the elements and their releation with one another.
Red is strong against Blue, but weak against Green.
Blue is strong against Green, but weak against Red.
Green is strong against Red, but weak against Blue.
Purple is neutral against any of the Red, Blue, Green.
Try to upgrade all your equipment to +8 as the advantages you gain by doing so makes it worhtwhile as you will find it relatively cheap and easy to do so. Only attempt to upgrade a piece of equipment to +16 if you plan on using it long term.
To upgrade the champion's skill requires Tomes and this item is difficult to get. Make sure you do not waste any you get on a useless champion that is of common or uncommon rarity. Tomes can only be obtained as a login reward, progression reward, and through challenges.
There are several ways that your champions can be made stronger, these include raising their level, equipping artifacts, upgrading artifacts, and their rank. You may want to consider repeating stages with the champion in the team to farm EXP and artifacts. The artifacts you get that are useless can always be sold for silver. You may also want to consider replaying Dungeon mode to farm potions, scrolls, artifacts, and shards.
Check the market every day to see what is available as there is always the possibility of getting a high-grade artifact there which would otherwise be difficult to get, especially if it is of epic rarity.
It is important if you do not want to lose your progress that you take the time to link Raid: Shadow Legends to Facebook or Plarium account. If you uninstall the game and install again you will not be able to continue with the same account. To link the game to Facebook or Plarium account you need to tap the player avatar icon at the upper-left corner of the screen and connect to Facebook or Plarium ID.
