When using the coin bomb and coin cars, how do you know which one will give out coins and which one will explode?

There is no way to know which will give out coins or explode (would be too easy).
Mr Steve O is right. There is absolutely NO WAY of knowing. You hit the car, it crashes or turns into coins.
It's that simple.
