While this has not been confirmed, I believe that the Heroic pet selection is, like the rare pet selection, random.

All of the classes can be molded into something useful.

Loot: While fighting mobs, picking up monster parts gets annoying

Pro: Cleans up after fights

Con: Doesn't help with fight

Buff: Helps in a fight without endangering the pet

Pro: Helps with fight by strengthening main character

Con: No real disadvantage

Combat: Pet attacks can often exceed the main character's

Pro: Helps fight enemies

Con: Does not attack unless monster is aware of main character

While my favorite pet is the loot type, from an unbiased perspective the combat type is the most useful. Of course, this analysis is moot point to an owner of the heroic pet.

Personally in my opinion the best pet to get are the hatchlings because the cas shoot fire, stun, and slow enemies.

Guest answered:

I got a pitz had him from level 0 he's 34 now, he's equiped with rune of wal rare battle ax and rune of strength. General sallet helmet, he is pretty effective at attacking enemies I couldn't think of something better

Guest answered:

Well I have a Down Chikki because I didn't know that I was able to have a Hatchling or even a Pitz hahaha, but surprisingly my pet hits stronger than me and I'm pretty satisfied with it, I wouldn't take another one.

Guest answered:

I personally think that the hatchlings are the best mostly the black/invisible

Guest answered:

Hatching
is the best monster I have so far and their is a cold hatching

Guest answered:

The best pet is a heroic hatchling thunder/fire/ice
Honestly the black/invisible hatchling is very useful when doing quest or lvling up

Guest answered:

You can get Puppy sometimes too. I have a combat type puppy and it's very useful when I run though mobs and want to attack and kick some butt

Guest answered:

I feel that it all depends on how long you want to wait before you get a pet I played through... Almost played through the game 2-3 times and first I had a puppy (kicked butt) but then I saw hatchlings I didn't want to give up my high leveld puppy so I started over . So it all depends if you want to wait or not personally the hatchling are awesome because they attack in range and you don't have to heal/revive them as much but the pits/puppy is good because you can give it more stuff (armour/weapons) I guess it's all about preference really.

Guest answered:

I believe that the overall best pet is the puppy, I have gone through boat-loads of pets, and I am extremely satisfied with this one. I've "tamed" the Puppy at least 20 times, and at least 7-8 of them were a rare pet combo of looting and attack...very useful.
You can buy a Rare pet taming pack in the inn-app store, and with those packs, you have around a 3% chance of getting a Heroic pet. Also, when a Rare pet reaches lvl 100 or something, one of the pet guides said that it is possible for the pet to turn into a heroic pet.

I personally stick with a salt shelled corpi due to the fact that it won't bother me by running around (it's invisible), and the fact that it's sole purpose is looting, and not a combined purpose of loot/attack

I had a seed guy who you get from the start and then I raised it to level 23 from level 1!
