Question for The Sims Medieval

I am on the funny haircut quest for firmin. I have been trying to get mushrooms for days (from the forest) but they are never fully grown, so I can't collect them. Is there something wrong with my character or do I just need to wait longer?

Sometimes it takes really long for he plants to grow. Verbena takes much longer than mushrooms! Just be patient, they'll grow. There are also some in he graveyard and at the marker.

I have been waiting for weeks. I'm stuck in my quests because the two I have need the verbena plants. I bought one but the other two I found won't grow. Then if they do I'll only have three and I'll have to wait forever to pick more? I'm getting bored with the game because I'm stuck right now and I'm getting frustrated.

first one I'm in the same boat-second one click the yellow ! bottom right click the castle and you will see little people moving about look for the one with the yellow !
