How do you get to the second level without dieing by that white thing???

I guess this still hasn't been answered, if you still can't defeat her, the white thing is the witch, and you just need to upgrade your sword, and maybe get a good amulet to boost your health. Then face her, dodge her attacks, and then you unlock the second story.
I just finished the second floor. You just need to kill a lot of monsters to obtain sun coins to buy a first aid kit . I had a lot of failed attempts but upgrading your swords and upgrading your skills (esp. Health and block) will help you. I suggest you upgrade your block if you're not good with dodging the enemy's attacks. Collect lots and lots of bags to buy a new sword or amulet or a crossbow. It may take a while to finish it, but GOODLUCK!
Dodge it...it's the better to do, if you just block, then it's kinda complicated because you need to have a high level of block to not have any damage
