You only have to knock into the barrier either sideways or on top. Do not slam your face in front of it

Just jump a little early before one of the solid red and white barriers. By jumping a little early you should hit the top of the barrier

Jump early or jump late over the red and white barriers. That will make you bump/hit the barrier but not end the game.
