Missions, 2500 m without smashing anything. Any advice?

I am having an issue with completing one of the missions. In which I have to complete 2500 m without smashing anything. Any advice?

If you have purchased the extra gadgets slot for 25 chips, you can equip both the sonic repulsor AND the Head Start. This will bring you to 750m with the head start, and then somewhat protect you with the repulsor for the next 1000m or so depending on how (carefully) fast you drive. This technique however does not shield you from traffic or cops or edges so you still need to be careful
